Apple has released iOS 4.3.4 and iOS 4.2.9 to address the latest jailbreak exploit used by JailbreakMe.com. Letting you right off the bat, that you do NOT want this update if you plan to use jailbreakme.com or any other means to jailbreak your idevice. If your device is currently jailbroken, skip this update, and patch the exploit with PDF Patch 2 found in Cydia. The update is available for the iPhone 4/3GS, third- and fourth-generation iPod touch, and all iPads. A special iOS 4.2.9 update is also available for the CDMA iPhone 4.

Today, Apple has released an updated iOS version for the second-gen AppleTV. This update, iOS 4.2.2 -- or as registered on Apple's servers iOS 4.3 -- includes a number of bug fixes and improvements:
  • Audio: Addresses an issue in which audio is not output when playing some video content.
  • Video playback: Addresses an issue in which video is not displayed when playing some content.
  • Audio output setting: Adds an audio output setting for switching to 16-bit audio for compatibility with some TVs and AV receivers.

Apple has released iOS 4.3.1 -- This update includes several minor bug fixes and improvements:
iOS 4.3.1

  • Fixes an occasional graphics glitch on iPod touch (4th generation)
  • Resolves bugs related to activating and connecting to some cellular networks
  • Fixes image flicker when using Apple Digital AV Adapter with some TVs
  • Resolves an issue authenticating with some enterprise web services

This update (iOS 4.3.1) is available for the GSM iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 2, iPad, and 3rd/4th gen iPod touch. No update is -- yet -- available for the CDMA iPhone running on Verizon.
Note: iPhone Dev Team's MuscleNerd has warned unlockers to stay away from this update, so should future iPad 2 jailbreakers. You have been warned.
