The iTunes Store Opens Up In 12 New Countries Today!

If you are one of the many people who enjoy what the Apple lineup of devices has to offer but you live in one of the Asian countries that doesn't have the iTunes Store then there is some good news for you.  You won't have to rue or lament that fact any longer as Apple has 12 new countries in which it has to cut the red ribbon in and open up the iTunes Store.

Earlier in the week, there was a rumor floating around about how Apple was heading to Hong Kong to host a launch event for the iTunes Store(s). That rumor turned out to be true as Apple has published a press release confirming the rumor. Later today, the iTunes Store will officially be available in the following countries/areas:

• Brunei
• Cambodia
• Hong Kong
• Laos
• Macau
• Malaysia
• Philippines
• Singapore
• Sri Lanka
• Taiwan
• Thailand
• Vietnam

It has been reported that the stores are already live in these countries and the content can be accessed normally. Looks like you can beat the impending crowd and get your downloads from the iTunes Store ahead of time.
