Got A White iPhone 4 That Needs Replacing? Get A 4S Instead

What if you were planning to hold onto your iPhone 4 and wait until the release of the iPhone 5 to upgrade, but you can't resist having Siri? Well, if your iPhone 4 somehow needs to be replaced right now, you'll be tossed back an iPhone 4S. There's no trickery here. The only catches are that your phone has to be a 16GB model ... and white. ( No racism intended :P )

Due to the shortage of white 16GB iPhone 4s, the Apple Store Genius Bars are being told to replace them with refurbished iPhone 4S units. They will be 16 gigs and no, you won't be able to go back to the dark side. (If you do some sweet talking, you probably can)

The shortage is affecting some Apple Stores in the United States and Canada. This will be ongoing until the shortage is taken care of.
