Here's something I haven't seen in awhile ... an ISO Tool update from PSP developer Takka! You know what it is -- decrypt EBOOT.BIN game files, create an ISO from UMD, pack/repack ISOs, patch 'em up, convert 'em to CSO (compressed format) and much more... You do this all from the PSP itself -- no PC intermediary.

You've no doubt read about JB-King ... it's the jailbreak dongle that closely resembles that of True Blue.

SKFU has released PS Vita Firmware xTractor 2.01 ... and it's now compatible with Linux, as well introduces some other features: Download Vita firmware, a filename fix and other minor stuff. This app will take a Vita firmware file (PSP2UPDAT.PUP) and as the name suggests extract the contents -- it won't decrypt though ... not yet anyway. Nonetheless it's a step in the right direction.

The PS Vita is sellin' like hotcakes; Sony has managed to sell ~ 321,000 units in just two days. The Vita hit Japan on December 17th with plenty of places selling out of pre-orders. Who got one? Anyone import this region-free badboy across the border? Shortly after its release, I'm talking like a couple of hours, the Vita was running unsigned code ("Hello World") by way of a game save exploit in the PSP emulator. This is real, folks ... realer than real deal Holyfield.

In fine homebrew fashion ThatOtherDev has released the source code to everything he's ever written for the PS3; I'm talking like 15 different games ... some we covered here, some we haven't. Whatever the case, if you wanna know how it's made, then you'll want to check this out.

Developer andbey0nd releases gameDATA Tool Rev. 2; it's the homebrew that lets you switch the pkg (homebrew and legit PSN downloads) install location to an external, USB-connected HDD, in the end saving you space on the internal drive. Rev.

• switch location of [game data] between internal HDD and first external USB HDD
• install PSN games (or any application/pkg) to external USB HDD
• get back to normal mode when you use "Ext. Game Data" option in multiMAN
• save space on internal HDD

Just move from side to side and avoid the oncoming cylinders. The high score is automatically saved. PS3 controls: Analog sticks = Move
